This paper updates the status of the Ranger Telerobotic Shuttle Experiment (TSX). Originally planned as the Ranger Telerobotic Flight Experiment (TFX), a free-flying spacecraft servicing telerobot to be launched on an expendable launch vehicle, the Ranger mission has been recast as a Space Shuttle-based flight experiment to demonstrate key telerobotic technologies associated with servicing the International Space Station (ISS) and other orbital assets. Several modifications have been made to the flight system configuration and the operational concept, but the primary payload package -- namely the four manipulator arms and their supportive structure -- have remained relatively unchanged. This paper addresses these technical and operational modifications, and lays out the plans for the future of the flight experiment.
