We investigate the matter-gravity coupling of dark matter in the Milky Way by fitting the rotation curve of the Sérsic-based Galactic model with standard dark matter coupling and Yukawa-like effective coupling between DM and gravity. These models are fitted to different Milky Way rotation curve datasets, namely Sofue (2017 and 2020), Gaia DR3 derivations by Wang (2023) and Zhou (2023), and near-black hole data from the GRAVITY collaboration (2023). Our results show that there is a mixed statistical favour for the non-trivial DM-gravity coupling model based on the Bayes factor. We argue that more precise observational data covering a broader range of the galactic radii, such as outside of the Solar neighbourhood, are still required to gain a more exact insight into DM-gravity coupling in the Milky Way.
