This article introduces the TAWS Mode 2 test flight method, and analyzes and studies its warning envelope and principles. Based on the warning principles combined with Python visualization programming, a terrain screening model is established. By using the Loca Space Viewer to extract the terrain elevation values below the flight track, the terrain judgment and triggering of warning mountain segments are carried out. Finally, the recommended terrain is verified through actual flight tests, and the triggering of warning mountain segments is consistent with the model prediction. This method allows for the rapid screening of special terrains matching the TAWS Mode 2 warning logic without geographical restrictions, helping the aircraft efficiently complete TAWS Mode 2 special terrain Type Certification test flights.
