The method for determining the consumption of diesel fuel according to the speed curve of a real trip is described. This approach allows to take into account external factors affecting the train during movement, and also makes it possible to eliminate errors when entering data on the actual fuel consumption. The described method will help to normalize the resources for train traction more accurately by combining the statistical and graphic-analytical methods. The error of the calculated and experimental data was no more than 5%.
