Based on the requirements for the deployment and management of airborne services in a distributed integrated modular avionics (DIMA) system architecture, this paper designs a service development experiment in an airborne environment. The experiment includes three parts: airborne service encapsulation, avionics service bus (ASB) interface registration and service deployment and test. First, the airborne application is encapsulated as a service with reference to the Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE) standard. Then an interface is registered for the service on the ASB to open the external data channel for the service. Finally, taking the data fusion service as an example, the deployment and testing of airborne services are performed. For students and relevant developers who are studying integrated avionics, this experiment is helpful to cultivate the service-oriented and component-based software architecture thinking, and master the development process of airborne services under the DIMA architecture.
