Today, compliant actuators are being designed and deployed because of their ability to mitigate large forces from collisions, safe interaction with users, and the ability to store and release energy in passive elastic components. In this paper, we introduce three types of actuators with hemicircular cross-section to conduct simulations to determine the relationship between input pressure and bending angle deformation of each actuator, thereby choosing the actuator has a suitable bending angle for fabrication and experimentation. Fabrication of the soft actuator is done by die casting method, the material is high elastic two-component silicone. Through simulation and experimental study on the relationship between inlet pressure and bending angle deformation as well as bending arc leghth at pressure levels from 0.05 MPa to 0.15 MPa, it has been shown that (1) the higher the pressure acting on the inner surface of the chamber, the greater the bending angle of the actuators; (2) at low pressure from 0.05 MPa to 0.08 MPa, the change of bending angle and bending arc length is small; (3) At higher pressures from 0.058 MPa to 0.15 MPa, the change in bending angle and bending arc length is significant, and the change is almost linear.
