Pedestrians, due to their vulnerability, are a highly endangered group in our transportation system. The safety of their mobility is influenced by the behavior exhibited by both drivers and pedestrians themselves. Previous research has demonstrated that distracting devices and factors used by road users contain inherent accident risks. In pedestrian mobility, similar to vehicle traffic, attention-diverting devices have a significant impact. The objective of our study was to explore the potential investigation opportunities of distracting devices and cognitive factors employed by pedestrians, as well as to uncover their effects. We conducted investigations at locations that aligned with our methodology and evaluated the results from multiple perspectives. The findings revealed that every second pedestrian engages in mobility while being affected by attention diversion.
