Abstract The international focus today is to commercialize low Earth orbit (LEO) space. In this work, it is presumed that the commercialization of LEO is imminent, and that hotels and other amenities for travelers will be required. The paper includes a working guideline of considerations and solutions for the creation of a profit-based food service, and discusses an extended food delivery system for the International Space Station (ISS), Space Shuttles (SS), and orbital hotels. The system includes a systematic approach from receiving food orders, to processing them and delivering the food. Providing safe, nutritious, and appealing food cost-effectively is essential to this specialized travel experience.
