To realize fuel optimization in multiple spacecraft (multi-spacecraft) formation, a Gaussian pseudo-spectral based trajectory tracking control strategy is proposed in this paper. Firstly, the spacecraft relative position dynamics equations are constructed. Then, to generate the optimal flight trajectory of spacecraft fuel, a Gaussian pseudo-spectral algorithm is used. Next, based on the generated trajectory, an adaptive sliding-mode control strategy is designed to track the trajectory. By using the Lyapunov method, the stability of the system is proved. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation experiments.
