Faced with a complex terrain or flight environment, if pilots lose consciousness or misjudge their position and posture in space, this will result in fatal accidents. The automatic ground collision avoidance system (AGCAS) is an effective way for such accidents. This paper introduces the development of AGCAS, the functional principles and requirements of the system, and gives the architecture and algorithm module of the system. In order to study Auto GCAS directly, the simulation verification system based on MATLAB and Tacview is designed, and the simulation prototype of AGCAS is developed. The results demonstrate that the AGCAS able to detect the ground collision accident ahead of time and take effective maneuver to avoid the accident.
