Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Swarm warfare is moving from concept to actual combat. It will be an important form of multi unmanned warfare in denial environment, which has attracted international military attention. However, high mobility of UAV nodes and fast topology changes effect UAV swarm communication technology, and its communication efficiency is seriously affected. Large scale UAV swarms pose a series of challenges to resource allocation, channel access, and network routing in drone ad hoc networks. This paper takes the typical communication mode of UAV swarm as origin, put forward the importance of UAV Ad Hoc network technology and analysis its concept definition, protocol hierarchy model and key technology to clarify its important impact on swarm cooperative warfare and provide reference for UAV swarm communication and cooperative operation in enhanced denial environment.
