The empirical evidence presented in this chapter offers significant insights into the factors that impact consumers' attitudes and intentions to buy electric vehicles. A sample of 153 Italian consumers has been surveyed to investigate their electro-compatibility profile and their general attitudes and knowledge towards EVs. The results underscore the crucial roles of transparent information dissemination and infrastructure development in speeding up the adoption of electric mobility in Italy. The findings also suggest the need for additional research to understand diverse perceptions beyond the Italian context, especially as circumstances evolve. These insights offer valuable data-driven perspectives on consumer behavior and market trends, contributing to a deeper understanding of the factors influencing electric vehicle adoption.
