The vehicle under test was found to be susceptible to electromagnetic interference over a wide frequency range at field strengths ranging from 5 Vm- 1 to 100 Vm- 1. It was somewhat surprising that the immunity at certain frequencies was so low since it is known that the manufacturer has an extensive EMC test programme. Correlations between radiated and bulk current injection tests ranged from perfect agreement to a difference of at least 26 dB. Alterations to the test method which should improve this correlation have been suggested although these should not be implemented without further test measurements. One case of failure due to a real source of radiation was found and the susceptibility was in close agreement with that found during the radiated tests. The programme was rather limited and no failures due to real sources which could be compared with bulk current injection results were found.
