Body corrosion is considered one of the main factors that determine the life of an automobile. In order to effectively develop corrosion countermeasures, it is necessary to accurately simulate actual vehicle use in a short period of time. In this paper, we introduce the development of new test procedures which allow actual corrosive conditions to be reproduced through the use of both the laboratory and the proving ground. We also discuss some examples of anti-corrosive design methods. (Peters)
