This paper presents a non-linear model of an electro-hydraulic servosystem where the actuator is an axial piston hydraulic motor. This model was prepared in conjunction with the design and development of a system of this type for application on a primary flight control of a new aircraft. The general architecture and the most important details of the model are here presented together with the tradeoff analysis that was performed in order to optimize the system performance and the actual results obtained when the servosystem was tested.
