As vehicle pull becomes one of the critical evaluation items from the customers, it is getting important to define a vehicle pull tendency of a car at the development stage. However, doing a vehicle pull study with an experimental approach needs a lot of effort and time. In this paper, vehicle pull tendency of a car under development stage was investigated using multibody software named ADAMS (Automated Dynamic Analysis of Mechanical Systems). A car with a left-hand steering system was model into a 79 degrees of freedom multibody mechanical system. For the study, road crown as a external factor and tire as an internal factor were selected. The road crown angle ranges from -3 degree to +3 degree while tire RAT value is from -4 Nm to +4 Nm. In order to study a sensitivity of the vehicle to a suspension geometry change, the effect of the geometry change in kingpin offset and caster angle was also studied. Geometry change in kingpin offset and caster angle is 10 mm and 1 degree from the original suspension specifications, respectively. Simulation results indicate that the vehicle model with tire RAT value selected here shows a good pull performance on the road where the road crown is from 0 to +3 degree. Simulation results also show that vehicle pull performance is not affected by the change in kingpin offset and caster angle. From the simulation results, the current design specification with tire RAT value in the range of -4 Nm to 4 Nm was suggested from the view point of vehicle pull.
