The optimal control law for attitude stabilization of an aircraft represented as an arbitrary solid is obtained in analytic form on the basis of the joint maximum principle. It is shown that through the use of the joint maximum principle, it is possible to obtain an efficient control law in the case where there are constraints imposed on the magnitude of the control actions as well as where no such constraints are imposed. The calculations carried out in the study confirm the advantages of the proposed method by comparison with the known method in the synthesis of the control law of a dynamically symmetric solid.
