Berlin Experimental and Educational Satellite (BeeSat) is a pico satellite project of the Department of Astronautics at the Technical University of Berlin. The main objective of BeeSat is the on orbit verification of newly developed reaction wheels for pico satellites in order to increase the field of applications for future missions. Major industrial partner for reaction wheel development is Astro- und Feinwerktechnik Adlershof GmbH. A precise attitude control system is required for a number of different satellite missions like earth observation. BeeSat will be equipped with a key feature for those applications, reaction wheels for attitude control in three axes. It will - as a technology demonstrator - deliver valuable results in the field of pico satellite attitude determination and control. It is drawn a brief outline of the Beesat attitude determination and control system, both sensors and actuators, and current developments in this field are shown.
