A new CIPOS (Control Integrated Power System) in DIL (Dual-in-line) package with transfer molded type, which combines with the features of the fast reverse recovery technology MOSFET and optimized SOI (Silicon On Insulator) gate driver to achieve the excellent solution for motor drive system. Especially, this module offers the small package size with high efficiency under low power motor drive application, such as refrigerator in home appliances. This paper provides an overall description of the new CIPOS module as well as electrical characteristics, thermal performance, adopted the fast reverse recovery technology MOSFET and SOI gate driver.
