Object controllers are connected to the interlocking processor via a number of redundant loops. The interlocking processor (master) governs controller (slave) by sending commands. The controller replies after the command execution with response about object status. The commands and the responses enveloped and sealed by coding in a data packet are distributed via line interfaces called concentrator working in the system as a postman in a post office. Some figures on transmission performances: data rate on a redundant loop (19.2 kB/s), unloaded tele cable 2 pairs or 2 one direction optofiber per loop, HDLC format, Hamming distance 4, 15 loops x 32 object controllers per loop, distance between concentrator max 20 km.
