A rigorous method-of-moments (MoM) analysis is used to model wide-band scattering from general three-dimensional perfectly conducting objects buried in a lossy layered medium. The authors focus on ordnance buried in a half space (soil). The time-domain fields scattered from a tilted antitank mine are examined in detail as a function of polarization and observation position.
