In this paper a new computational method for aerodynamics around autombile is presented. The backeard-facing step, the influence of tires and the cross wind simulation are investigated. It is of practical importance to apply Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) for a routine design tool nearly phases of the automobile design. The calculated drag coefficient (CD) by the present method is in good agreement with the experiment within an error of 5 %. CPU time is less than 20 hours by CRAY Y-MP(1CPU), and the total analysis time is shortened from 3 weeks to 4 days.
