The presented model is obtained by the combination of different schematization techniques (rigid bodies, modal approach and finite elements), because each body of the vehicle (bogies, carbody, wheelsets) presents different problems for its schematization. The improvement of the model with respect to the previous one (rigid bodies) allow to better reproduce the train-track dynamic interaction in the whole frequency range from 0 Hz to 200 Hz. Moreover the introduction of carbody deformability makes more precise the evaluation of comfort indexes. Further improvements will follow, in order to reproduce the deformability of the bogies, to include the model the curving of vehicles (also for small curve radii, typical of subway lines), and finally to set an efficient numerical procedure in order to take advantance of the repetitivness of some supporting structure (i.e. viaducts). Anyway the present version of the model can give many useful indications for what concerns the evaluation of superstructure performances, the safety of ride of the vehicle and comfort.
