A solid-state microelectrode is used in situ to measure porewater profiles of dissolved O2, Mn, Fe, and sulfide at submillimeter resolution by voltametric techniques in a single voltage scan. The voltametric sensor was positioned with microprofiling instrumentation mounted on a small remote-operated vehicle (ROV). This instrumentation and the sensor were controlled and monitored in real-time from an anchored research vessel at the study site. Single analyte O2, pH, and resistivity microsensors were operated alongside the voltametric sensor.
