The springback of double-curved autobody panels is studied theoretically and experimentally. Both steel (FeP04) and aluminium sheets (5182, 6016 and 6111) are included in this investigation. The obtained results show that the springback is decreased with increasing binder force, increasing curvature, increasing sheet thickness and decreasing yield strength. This paper comprises also a discussion on the plastic strains and their influence on the springback.
