Approach taken by Light Military Electronics Dept, General Electric Co, in manufacture of military electronics equipment for manned aircraft and for space; problems of mechanization for reliability; use of new tools, such as numerical control equipment, which are probably most capable of job-lot mechanization; another approach is to develop designs which are most amenable to standardized and disciplined approach; example of welded wire matrix concept illustrates latter approach.
