The invention discloses a self-adaptive cruise control system of a manual transmission vehicle. The system comprises a detection module, a man-machine interaction module, a driver operation sensing module, a self-cruise controller and an execution mechanism. The detection module is used for detecting vehicle gear information and vehicle condition information; the man-machine interaction module is used for feeding back the current information displayed by the cruise instrument panel to a driver in real time; the driver operation sensing module is used for detecting the operation action of a driver and judging whether the operation of the driver meets the conditions set by the self-cruise control system or not; the executing mechanism is used for automatically shifting gears according to the judgment result of the driver operation sensing module; the self-cruise controller is used for receiving, processing and transmitting signals of the detection module, the man-machine interaction module, the driver operation sensing module and the execution mechanism. The invention further discloses a self-adaptive cruise control method of the manual transmission vehicle.
