The invention discloses a control method of a stair-climbing robot, and relates to the technical field of robots. In the stair climbing process, the front supporting assembly comprises the following steps that before a first wheel set reaches a first step, the first wheel set is lifted by one step height, so that the first wheel set falls on the surface of the first step; the second wheel set is lifted by the height of one step at a constant speed, so that when the horizontal position of the second wheel set reaches the first step, the second wheel set (220) just falls on the step surface where the first wheel set is located; the first wheel set is lifted by the height of one step at a constant speed, so that when the horizontal position of the first wheel set reaches the next step, the first wheel set just falls on the surface of the next step; the steps are repeated, so that the first wheel set and the second wheel set alternately support the front side of the stair-climbing robot until the second wheel set falls on the surface of the last step; the steps of the rear supporting assembly are similar to those of the front supporting assembly. By the adoption of the technical scheme, the stair climbing robot has the advantages of being stable in stair climbing and smooth in movement.
