PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent mispairing.SOLUTION: A target detection method of a radar device detects a target from a pair of a peak of a frequency spectrum of an up-chirp period and a peak of a frequency spectrum in a down-chirp period. The radar device calculates distance from the target and relative speed to the target on the basis of the pair of the peaks, and determines that the target is an unnecessary target if an absolute value of the difference between a time differential value of the distance and the relative speed is equal to or more than a first threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
