To provide a crawler belt type traveling body that enhances stability during traveling of a traveling device, by attaching an auxiliary member having a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A crawler belt type traveling body 10 includes an auxiliary member 6 attached at least at a rear position on a crawler type traveling body 10 in a traveling direction thereof. A distance M that is parallel to a first straight line connecting rolling wheel axes 151a and 151b of two rolling wheels 15a and 15b in a side view and that is between the intersection of a second straight line including a leading end part of the auxiliary member 6 and a road surface and the intersection of the second straight line and a perpendicular line from the center position of the first straight line to the second straight line satisfies a condition described below (Formula 1): Mtanθ≥Wtanθ/2+h (Formula 1).
