An intersection of a destination is detected, a setting area of a predetermined size is set inside a detected intersection when turning and outside a driving lane on a road on which a vehicle enters the intersection after turning, a travel route is generated so as to overlap the detection range and the set area and the moving object is controlled so as to travel along the generated travel route.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】本発明は、横断前の歩行者等を検知するためのセンサを新たに設けることなく、横断前の歩行者等の検知を可能とする自動走行制御方法および自動走行制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の自動走行制御方法は、所定角度の検知範囲で物体を検知する検知部を備えた移動体の自動走行制御方法であって、走行先の交差点を検出し、この検出した交差点を曲がる場合の内側であって前記交差点を曲がって進入する道路における走行車線の外側に、所定サイズの設定領域を設定し、前記検知範囲と前記設定領域とを重複させるように走行経路を生成し、この生成した走行経路を走行するように前記移動体を制御する。【選択図】図3
