To provide a vehicle rear part structure which can efficiently absorb a rear collision load and enables reduction of the weight.SOLUTION: A vehicle rear part structure includes: a rear side frame 18 extending in an anteroposterior direction of a vehicle 100; a bumper beam 6 disposed rearward of the rear side frame 18; and a rear panel 5 provided between the rear side frame 18 and the bumper beam 6. The rear panel 5 has a peripheral edge frame structure 15 provided above the bumper beam 6 and having a closed cross section structure. An upper projection part 26 of the bumper beam 6 contacts with a panel 16 of the peripheral edge frame structure 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
