To suppress acceleration of a vehicle according to whether or not a pedestrian or the like is likely to suddenly jump out to a road while preventing a driver from feeling troublesome, when the driver feels troublesome due to automatic deceleration and acceleration operations of the vehicle, every time the vehicle approaches a crosswalk.SOLUTION: According to a driving support device comprising a control unit for controlling a driving device that generates driving force of one's own vehicle; the control unit acquires information in front of the one's own vehicle (S10) and controls a driving device in such a manner that a level of target acceleration and an increase amount of the target acceleration are suppressed at a preset suppression degree by driving force suppression control, based on the acquired information, when it is determined that a crosswalk is preset in front of the one's own vehicle, and an opposite lane is congested (S70, S80).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車両が横断歩道に接近する度に、車両の自動的な減速及び加速操作に起因して運転者が煩わしさを覚えることがある。運転者が煩わしさを覚えることを回避しつつ、歩行者などが急に道路へ飛び出す虞れがあるか否かに応じて車両の加速を抑制する。【解決手段】自車両の駆動力を発生する駆動装置を制御する制御ユニットを備えた運転支援装置であって、制御ユニットは、自車両の前方の情報を取得し(S10)、取得した情報に基づいて、自車両の前方に横断歩道があり且つ対向車線が渋滞していると判定したときには、駆動力抑制制御により自車両の目標加速度の大きさ及び目標加速度の増大量が予め設定された抑制度合にて抑制されるように駆動装置を制御する(S70、S80)。【選択図】図2
