The present invention relates to a technique for minimizing steering dissimilarity while reducing a steering end shock by using motor assist logic. According to the present invention, disclosed is a steering control method for a motor driven power steering system (MDPS), which improves a steering feel by minimizing dissimilarity when operating a steering wheel within a steering angle end section by implementing a virtual damper using motor assist logic of MDPS with a motion equation including a spring constant and a damping coefficient, and improves durability by reducing an end shock.
본 발명은 모터어시스트 로직을 이용하여 조타 끝단부 충격을 저감하면서도 조타 이질감을 최소화하도록 한 기술에 관한 것으로, 본 발명에서는, 스프링상수와 댐핑계수가 포함된 운동방정식과 함께 MDPS의 모터어시스트 로직을 이용하여 가상의 댐퍼를 구현함으로써, 조향각 끝단구간 내에서 스티어링휠의 조타시 이질감을 최소화하여 조타감을 향상시키는 것은 물론, 끝단 충격이 줄어들어 스티어링시스템의 내구성을 향상시키는 MDPS용 조향 제어방법이 소개된다.
