Connected vehicles upload data to a remote server, enabling valuable insight for various applications. One key use case is to identify driving actions that cause unsafe driving (a.k.a., provoking action) and alert nearby connected vehicles before an incident occurs. This paper presents a Proof of Concept (PoC) field trial for such a connected unsafe driving detection and management service. Aggressive driving behavior is predicted by analyzing provocative actions, and nearby innocent drivers are alerted in advance. Field trials with multiple test vehicles demonstrate the feasibility of such a service, showing that it can help mitigate collision risks.
