Aiming at the comparison of three different modes of non-signal priority, active signal priority, and passive signal priority of trams, this paper proposes an optimal model for objectively evaluating the timetable scheme. The comprehensive evaluation index system of timetable optimization effect is constructed from the perspectives of tram service operation level and car traffic efficiency. The initial sample matrix of the index set is dimensionless, and the objective weight of each index is determined by entropy weight method. The TOPSIS model is introduced to determine the optimal sequence of timetable schemes. The comprehensive benefits of the three types of optimized timetables are evaluated by a unified example. The results show that under the condition of design example, the timetable under the condition of active signal priority has the best application effect, followed by the condition of passive signal priority, and the condition of non-signal priority is relatively poor. The establishment of the evaluation model can more clearly explore the impact of different optimization strategies on the index, and enterprise managers can also choose the appropriate timetable optimization method according to the evaluation effect.
