With the development of information and communication technologies, the connected vehicle (CV) technology has been applied to improve road traffic safety and reduce delays. Under condition of internet-connected vehicles, this paper describes a preliminary study on a cooperative driving control algorithm based on the dynamic velocity modulation for vehicles at the non-signalized crossing. On the basis of vehicular networks, the basic condition to avoid conflict between vehicles at crossings is studied. The cross collision resolution algorithm and the merging resolution algorithm are proposed by analyzing the conflict models. Finally, simulation studies are carried out. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed cooperative driving control algorithm has a stronger adaptability with a result closer to the actual braking process at a crossing, and is conducive to the enhancement of road space utilization, as well as the efficiency of traffic.
