The invention relates to a laser long-chord rail inspection instrument. The laser long-chord rail inspection instrument comprises a body. Rail clamping walking wheels are arranged on the front side and the rear side of the bottom of the body respectively. The rail clamping walking wheels comprise adjusting blocks, rack installing parts, bottom face walking wheels and locking handles. The adjusting blocks are arranged at and in threaded connection with the middle portions of the locking handles. The rack installing parts are arranged at the lower portions of the locking handles. The bottom face walking wheels are rotationally arranged at the bottoms of the rack installing parts. Side connecting arms are hinged to the two sides of each adjusting block respectively. The outer end of each side connecting arm is hinged to a side connecting rod. Side auxiliary wheels are arranged at the lower ends of the side connecting rods. In the working process, the bottom face walking wheels make contact with the upper surface of a rail. The two side auxiliary wheels are arranged on the left side and the right side of the rail respectively. The laser long-chord rail inspection instrument more stably walks on the rail, and meanwhile inspection accuracy is higher.
