The invention provides 6-series aluminum alloy profiles applied to energy absorbing box and a preparation method thereof. According to the 6-series aluminum alloy profiles disclosed by the invention, through adjusting the content of Mg and Si alloys and adding an appropriate amount of Cu, the proportion of strengthening phases of alloys is increased, and thus, the intensity of the alloys can be improved; and meanwhile, by adding manganese and chromium, product crystal gains are thinned, so that degeneration formation of products is facilitated; the 6-series aluminum alloy preparation process is controlled, such as homogeneous annealing and air-mist cooling are carried out at 560 DEG C for 6H, so that the cooling velocity is increased; and by adopting a specific aging technology (205 DEG C and 2 hours), the finally-prepared 6-series aluminum alloy profiles is higher in the yield strength (being up to the yield strength value 281Mpa-320Mpa of existing 7-series alloys), and high in squeezing liquidity; and the degeneration formation meets the condition that the transverse cracking length is less than or equal to 15mm, and the production cost is low. Therefore, the improved 6-series aluminum alloy profiles can be applied to the energy absorbing box of an automobile instead of the 7-series alloys.
本发明提供了一种应用于吸能盒的6系铝合金型材及其制备方法。本发明通过调整Mg和Si的合金含量并添加适量的Cu以提升合金强化相的比例,从而提升合金的强度;同时增加锰和铬以细化产品晶粒,有利于产品溃变成型;同时控制6系铝合金制备工艺,例如采用560℃和6H均匀化退火以及风雾冷却以增大冷却速率,并且采用特定的时效工艺(205℃和2小时),使得最终制备得到的6系铝合金型材的屈服强度更高(能够达到现有7系合金的屈服强度值281‑320Mpa)、挤压流动性好、溃变成型满足横向开裂长度≤15mm,且生产成本低。因此,本发明的改进后的6系铝合金型材能够代替7系合金以应用于汽车的吸能盒。
