The invention relates to a diagnostic device of a passenger conveyor, and aims to obtain a diagnostic device of an escalator capable of improving diagnostic accuracy. The diagnostic device (4) of the escalator records a signal acquired from the acquisition object detector after the escalator is installed as reference data. The diagnostic device (4) records, as diagnostic data, a signal acquired from the acquisition target detector after recording the reference data. The diagnostic device (4) determines the presence or absence of an abnormality in the target device by comparing the diagnostic data and the reference data during operation in the normal operation mode. The detector group (20) includes at least one of a speed detector, a state detector, a current detector, and a voltage detector.
