The invention relates to the field of self-elevating wind power installation ships, and discloses a large crane base around a pile leg and a machining process method. The large crane base comprises a crane base body and an internal reinforcing structure, and the crane base body reinforcing structure is located under a crane and over a deck. The base reinforcing structure is composed of a round-top square-bottom structure on the upper portion, a square frame structure on the lower portion, an internal T-shaped support of the square frame structure, related aggregates, toggle plates and the like. A pile leg of a wind power installation ship can vertically penetrate through the middle of the base, a large amount of deck space is saved, various loads generated when a crane jib works are effectively supported, stress concentration is relieved, the strength of the crane base and the strength of structures nearby the crane base are improved, and the yield strength and the buckling strength of the crane base are fully guaranteed.
