Provided are an automatic travel method, an automatic travel system, and an automatic travel program with which it is possible to safely and efficiently automatically travel a work vehicle between a plurality of regions. This automatic travel system (1) causes a work vehicle (10) to automatically travel in accordance with an inter-field route (R12) preset for a road (R0) connecting fields (F1, F2). The travel processing unit (111) causes the work vehicle (10) to stop at a route start position (Ts1) of the inter-field route (R12) and causes the work vehicle (10) to resume automatic travel when a user is present in a field (F1) corresponding to the stop position of the work vehicle (10) and within a predetermined distance from the work vehicle (10). The notification processing unit (112) notifies travel information relating to travel on the inter-field route (R12) in the field (F1).
