The method comprises the steps that a storage value used for monitoring and recording electric quantity change information in the vehicle running process is set; monitoring electric quantity drop and rise events of the vehicle in the non-starting and starting states of the range extender, and adjusting an electric quantity rise flag bit and an electric quantity change basic value according to an electric quantity monitoring result; when the vehicle runs in the state that the range extender is not started, if it is detected that the remaining electric quantity rises to a preset threshold value, pure electric endurance mileage display is adjusted according to a preset rule; and when the vehicle is switched from the pure electric mode to the extended range power generation mode, executing a corresponding endurance mileage display adjustment strategy according to the state of the electric quantity rising flag bit and the comparison result of the remaining electric quantity and the electric quantity change basic value so as to recalculate and adjust pure electric endurance mileage display. The vehicle endurance mileage can be accurately calculated and displayed, and the driving experience of a user is improved.
