The method comprises the steps that after it is confirmed that a vehicle enters a pre-steady state according to running state information, current driving demand information of the vehicle is obtained; after it is confirmed that the current driving demand information meets the condition for entering the steady-state mode, the operation mode of a vehicle engine is set to be the steady-state mode, and a battery factor matched with the current electric quantity is inquired and obtained according to the current electric quantity of a vehicle battery; and according to the total demand torque, the current torque of the vehicle engine and the battery factor, the output torque of the vehicle motor is confirmed, so that the torque demand of the vehicle is responded by controlling the output torque of the vehicle motor. According to the method, the vehicle engine is set to be in the steady state mode, so that constant output of the engine torque is achieved, the torque requirement of the whole vehicle is met by adjusting the output torque of the motor, the energy use efficiency is optimized, and the driving stability is improved.
