The invention relates to the technical field of energy-saving control, in particular to an energy-saving control method and system for a ship refrigeration system.The method comprises the steps that various working parameters of the ship refrigeration system are monitored in real time, and cargo type labels stored in the ship refrigeration system are extracted; various working parameters and cargo type labels of the ship refrigeration system are imported into the constructed load prediction model, and the load demand of the refrigeration system is predicted; and performing energy-saving control on the refrigeration system based on the predicted load demand of the refrigeration system.
