A power storage system capable of efficiently charging in accordance with the voltage state of a charging device and capable of suppressing manufacturing cost. This power storage system is provided with: a storage battery provided with first to third semiconductor switches capable of switching between a first voltage state in which a first power storage unit (21) and a second power storage unit (22) are connected in series and can be charged at a first voltage, and a second voltage state in which the first power storage unit and the second power storage unit are connected in parallel and can be charged at a second voltage; a three-phase motor; an inverter (5) and a first smoothing capacitor (C1) connected to power supply circuits (11P, 11N) between the battery and the three-phase motor; and DC power supply circuits (13P, 13N) connected to the power supply circuits (11P, 11N) between the inverter and the storage battery. The DC power supply circuit (13P) on the positive electrode side has a branch circuit (14) connected to coils (32U, 32V, 32W) of any phase of the three-phase motor.
