To provide a controller capable of leading a vehicle to safely reach a stop position suitable to stop for the vehicle when an abnormality occurs in the sensor mounted on the vehicle.SOLUTION: A controller 50 includes: a sensor abnormality detection unit 52 configured to detect a sensor 40 on which an abnormality has occurred from a plurality of sensors 40 for detecting the periphery of the vehicle 100; and a determination part 54 configured so as, when there is a sensor on which an abnormality has occurred, to determine a stop position on the basis of a piece of information which represents at least one of the width or the type of the road and as the candidates for the stop position of the vehicle 100.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
