To detect the three-dimensional position of an object with good accuracy when a rotationally moving door is opened or closed.SOLUTION: In a present object detector 400, a detection unit 405 acquires a time difference between a transmit timing at which a transmit wave is transmitted and a first receive timing at which a first receive wave is received and a second receive timing at which a second receive wave is received for the case where the rotational movement quantity of a rotationally moving door is a first quantity and for the case where the rotational movement quantity of the rotationally moving door is a second quantity differing from the first quantity; and detects the three-dimensional position of an object when the rotationally moving door is opened or closed on the basis of a first time difference which is acquired for the case where the rotational movement quantity is the first quantity, a second time difference which is acquired for the case where the rotational movement quantity is the second quantity, and a physical relationship between the transmit position and the first and second receive positions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
