To suppress generation of the deviation between estimated negative pole reserve and actual negative pole reserve.SOLUTION: A battery state estimation device includes an electrode laminate body, which is formed by laminating, through a separator, a plurality of bipolar electrodes with a positive electrode formed on one surface of an electrode plate and with a negative electrode formed on the other surface, in which a negative side end electrode whose negative electrode is formed on one end side in the laminating direction and positive side end electrode whose positive electrode is formed on the other end in the layering direction are arranged to estimate a battery state. The battery state estimation device estimates the hydrogen permeation amount of the electrode plate on the basis of at least one of a battery voltage as the voltage of a battery, power storage rate of a battery, and the temperature of a battery as a battery temperature and estimates a deviation amount from an initial value of the negative electrode reserve on the basis of the estimated hydrogen permeation amount.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
