To accurately estimate a deterioration state of a battery even when a sufficient number of sampling values of the battery voltage in the initial period of a suspension period is not available in a technology for estimating the deterioration state of the battery using voltage characteristics in the suspension period after charge/discharge of the battery.SOLUTION: A battery state estimation device identifies a baseline voltage of a battery voltage in a period after a predetermined time elapses from the start of a suspension period, estimates a time derivative of the battery voltage within the predetermined time according to a difference between the baseline voltage and the battery voltage, and estimates a deterioration state of the battery using the time derivative.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
